Complement the current class study programme of the student with theoretical & practical tasks
Provide the appropriate work from the New Zealand Mathematics and Statistics Curriculum
Follow numeracy strategies suggested by The Number Framework (Government Numeracy Strategy) with a focus to build skills leading up to Level 1 NCEA
Identify any gaps in mathematics learning and provide necessary support to master the required concepts
Provide enriched learning (accelerate) students where appropriate

Year 11 to Year 13 - Secondary

Including Numeracy Unit Standards at Level 1, and NCEA Levels 1, 2 and 3

Numeracy Unit Standards at Level 1

There are 3 Numeracy Unit Standards all of which are internally assessed.
These provide an opportunity to gain the necessary 10 Numeracy Credits required to pass NCEA Level 1. Unit standards are an alternative pathway to gain 10 Numeracy credits as opposed to the mainstream pathway of gaining credits through Level 1 Achievement Standards.
Steven is able to provide tuition, resources and knowledge on all 3 Unit Standards

NCEA Level 1 Mathematics & Statistics Syllabus

There are 13 Achievement Standards at Level 1 made up of 3 external standards, one common assessment task (MCAT) and nine internal standards
The Achievement Standards offered to students varies from school to school.
Steven is able to provide tuition, resources and knowledge on all 13 Achievement Standards
“Exam Buster” sessions for Level 1 are offered during the Term 3 holiday break:
- Group sizes are normally from 1 to 4 students
- 90 minute sessions are held on each topic assessed through external exams
- Ideal for exam preparation

NCEA Level 2 Mathematics & Statistics Syllabus

There are 14 Achievement Standards at Level 2 made up of 3 external standards, and eleven internal standards
The Achievement Standards offered to students varies from school to school
Steven is able to provide tuition, resources and knowledge on all 14 Achievement Standards

Year 13 Level 3 Calculus & Statistics Syllabus

There are 15 Achievement Standards at Level 3 made up of 6 external standards, and nine internal standards
The Achievement Standards offered to students varies from school to school
Steven is able to provide tuition, resources & knowledge of the majority of these standards & especially support for revision of calculus and statistics knowledge at the beginning of these Level 3 studies.
